Liberalism taken to its logical conclusion…

…in the form of youth baseball. Liberals want to make everyone feel better. Great concept. The only problem is, they do it by bringing down the top performers and artificially supporting, in Obama’s words (but I like to credit them to Jesus), “the least of these.” Taxing the rich more than everyone else, increasing the minimum wage, welfare, nationalized health care, Social Security…all lauded by liberals as advancing the American way.
How about instead of trying to break up the kid’s team, let them win the championship when everyone else forfeits? That’s the way it’s supposed to work. It’s a free market. If you don’t perform, you don’t succeed. If you want to succeed, you come up with a plan and make it happen. No one’s stopping you. That’s how America was built. We don’t need government intervention. Stop punishing achievement. Why is that so hard to grasp?
Now THAT is a man.

All David Hayes meant to do was cast for his granddaughter. Instead he wound up landing a 21-pound channel catfish — a North Carolina state record — on her Barbie fishing pole.
His 3-year-old granddaughter, Alyssa, was the one actually fishing at Hayes’ one-acre pond behind his house in Wilkes County, N.C., on Aug. 5. Hayes was just baiting her pink rod and reel with crickets, casting, and handing the rig to the little girl, who was making a fine day’s work of catching bluegill.
He threw a cricket out. “She said, ‘Papa, hold my fishing rod. I’ve got to go potty,'” Hayes said in a phone interview.
As the girl walked the few feet back to the house with her grandmother, Hayes dutifully held the rod. Then — boom.
The rest of the story is here.
He’s a crybaby…
